I would have to say the most difficult thing I’ve overcome is the death of someone very dear to me.

I was very young, only 16, and he was my first everything. He died in an accident, and no one saw it coming. Having to deal with death at such a young age has been a struggle.

My family, his family, and my friends were my inspiration. You will never know how strong your relationships are until you experience tragedy.

Today, I have my own family. I still think about it daily, and I think it helped me to appreciate the people I love more than ever. I don’t take things for granted, and I never treat my loved ones with anything other than respect. It made me a better person in the long run.

The biggest difficulty that I overcame in my life was when I moved to the US because my husband found a new job there. This experience was very difficult because I was far away from my extended family, and I did not know the language.
First, before I moved, I lived near my extended family, we saw each other all the time, so when I moved I miss them very much.
The second reason, why moving was hard was because I did not know the language, so I was not able to communicate; therefore, I felt alone and frustrated.
That is why moving to the US was a difficult time in my life.

      Hi @Marbea,

      The Score: 3/4

Speech is generally clear, though minor difficulties with pronunciation, intonation and pacing are noticeable.

      Check the pronunciation of “was”:
      http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/was?s=t

The response exhibits some imprecise or inaccurate use of grammatical structures.

Response is mostly coherent, sustained and conveys relevant ideas / information.

The most important areas that you can improve are pronunciation, intonation and fluidity.
Pay attention to grammatical structures. So you will avoid basic errors.

When I was in the first year in universitey I had depression and looking to life in a pessimestic way that is effect all my life including my studing and my health because of a big problem happened between my parents . I overcomed this problem by reading positive books and searching for people who helped me to look to life in a positive way even if there are many bad things happened to me.

The biggest difficulty i have overcome in my life is to transform the abhorrence into favoritism towards the subject “Maths”.At the age of 16,I was very weak in maths,i never liked solving maths without any reason.I was often distrait during the maths lecture in school and never used to pay attention to the teacher.
But one day, that maths teacher picked me out and interrogated me whether I had any problem with this subject. She was very concerned and i artlessly answered,”YES I Hate Maths”.From that day onwards she was always hearken about me and my work. She had a talk with my parents about this and bolstered me to practice the maths exercises everyday. Also she suggested to view maths as fun not a boring subject with problems.Due to her motivation,a certain amount of passion for maths was inculcated in me and this passion raised to a great extent. In a few weeks,I had scored the highest marks in maths,in my class.
Thus,I had overcome this biggest difficulty as one of my greatest strength today.

Well you sound very pompous with all the “GRE” vocab you used in your response. My advise don’t do that It will not give you any extra credit for using such words on the exam day. Be simple calm and lucid with simple words possible.

the biggest difficulty that i overcame in my life is stage fright. Ever since i was a little kid i had this thing about going in front of a large group of people and it was cause of that reason that i never participated in any of the school competitions. eventually my parents started noticing it and with the help of my parents and friends i started participating first in speeches and then i dance competitions and i grew over it.

The biggest difficulty in my life that I overcame was when I moved to the city to continue my education. The journey was difficult for me for two main reason. The first reason being that, I was never a healthy child so I often fell sick. When I moved to the city due to the change in environment and temperature I fell sick lots of times . So, I even had to miss lots of classes and my studies got disturbed by it. The second reason is that, I felt quite isolated in the city and had no one to talk to. I lived in a rented apartment so I had to do all the stuff by myself too .
For these reasons I had difficulty in overcoming my difficulties but later with much effort I graduated with high scores.
